Baku, Azerbaijans dazzling capital, greets you with its perfect blend of modern marvels and ancient charm. As you check into your hotel, soak in the energy of this ever-awake city. Take a leisurely stroll along the Caspian Sea promenade or sip aromatic Azerbaijani tea while watching the sunset paint the skyline in hues of gold. Rest up—your adventure is just beginning!
After breakfast, we set out to explore Baku, the vibrant capital of Azerbaijan, where ancient heritage meets cutting-edge architecture. Sitting on the shores of the Caspian Sea, Baku is a city of contrasts—home to centuries-old palaces and futuristic skyscrapers.
Our first stop is Highland Park, the best place to enjoy a breath-taking panoramic view of the city. From here, we admire the iconic Flame Towers, three soaring skyscrapers shaped like flames. Inspired by Azerbaijans fire-worshipping history, these 140-meter-high towers light up at night with dazzling LED displays, making them a symbol of modern Baku.
Next, we take a walk through Icherisheher, the Old City of Baku, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by medieval stone walls. This historic district is home to ancient caravanserais, charming narrow alleys, and bustling market squares. We visit the Shirvanshahs Palace , a 15th-century royal residence known as the pearl of Azerbaijani architecture, and the Maiden Tower, a mysterious 12th-century structure that has inspired countless legends.
Our tour continues with a drive through Bakus modern marvels, passing the Broadcast Tower, Martyrs Lane, Crystal Hall, and National Flag Square. Finally, we stroll along Nizami Street and , famous for their lively atmosphere, shops, and cafes.
After a wonderful day of sightseeing, we return to the hotel for dinner and a good night’s rest, preparing for the adventures ahead.
After a delicious breakfast, we set off to explore the fascinating Absheron Peninsula, a place known for its natural flames and ancient history. Our first stop is Ateshgah - The Temple of Eternal Fire, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 17th century, this temple was a place of worship for Hindus and Zoroastrians, who believed the ever-burning fire was sacred. The temple still has inscriptions in Sanskrit, Punjabi, and Persian, showing its deep connections to India and Persia.
We then explore the Gala Open-Air Museum , an ancient village where you can see archaeological ruins from thousands of years ago. This site gives us a glimpse into how people lived during the Bronze Age, with old homes, pottery, and rock carvings.
As the day winds down, we return to Baku Boulevard, a scenic seaside park loved by locals and visitors alike. Enjoy a peaceful evening walk before heading back to the hotel for a restful night.
After breakfast, we leave Baku and head towards the breath-taking Caucasus Mountains. Our first stop is Shamakhi, one of Azerbaijans oldest cities and a former capital of the Shirvanshah dynasty. Here, we visit the Juma Mosque, the oldest mosque in the Caucasus, dating back to the 8th century.
Later, we will go for a vineyard and winery tour, where you'll discover Azerbaijans rich winemaking heritage. We then continue towards Nohur Lake, a serene retreat surrounded by dense forests and the towering Caucasus Mountains. By evening, we arrive in Gabala, one of Azerbaijans most scenic regions, once the capital of ancient Caucasian Albania. With a history dating back over 2,000 years, Gabala was a key city on the Great Silk Road. Today, it is known for its stunning natural beauty, lush forests, and serene mountain landscapes. After checking into the hotel, relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Wake up to the crisp mountain air and stunning views of the Caucasus. After breakfast, we embark on a scenic cable car ride to Tufandag Mountain, also known as the Sleeping Beauty of Azerbaijan. Rising to an altitude of 12,500 feet, Tufandag offers breath-taking views of the Caucasus Mountains and the alpine beauty of forested slopes. Whether covered in snow or greenery, this mountain is a sight to behold. After soaking in the scenery, we descend back to Gabala.
After descending, we make our way to Lahij, a charming village nestled in the mountains. Famous for its cobbled streets and centuries-old copper craftsmanship, Lahij has been a hub for metalwork and handicrafts since ancient times.
After a day of nature, culture, and flavours, return to the hotel for a relaxing evening and a delicious dinner.
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Gabala and make our way back to Baku. On the way, we stop at, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an open-air museum of ancient rock carvings. Over 6,000 petroglyphs, dating back more than 40,000 years, depict scenes of hunting, dancing, and early human rituals. This site offers a rare glimpse into prehistoric life and the spiritual beliefs of early civilizations.
But the surprises dont stop there! Just beyond Gobustan lies Azerbaijans famous Mud Volcanoes, where bubbling, gray mud gurgles from the earth. Did you know Azerbaijan has the highest concentration of mud volcanoes in the world? A visit here feels like stepping onto another planet! Continuing our journey, we stop at the world's first industrially drilled oil well, located in the Bibi Heybat oil field. Drilled in 1846, this well marked the beginning of Azerbaijans oil boom, earning Baku the nickname The Black Gold Capital.
On our way back to Baku, we stop at the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, an architectural masterpiece and an important spiritual site. Originally built in the 13th century and destroyed during Soviet rule, it was later reconstructed to its former glory.
After arriving in Baku, unwind and enjoy a leisurely evening, reflecting on the wonders of the day as we prepare for our final adventures in Azerbaijan.
After breakfast, we begin our final day in Baku with a visit to the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, home to the country's most treasured art form. Azerbaijans carpet weaving tradition dates back centuries, and this museum beautifully showcases the evolution of intricate patterns, vibrant colors, and unique weaving techniques. Shaped like a rolled-up carpet, the building itself is a masterpiece!
As we continue exploring Baku, we visit the iconic Heydar Aliyev Center, a masterpiece by renowned architect Zaha Hadid. Known for its flowing, wave-like design with no straight lines, this architectural wonder symbolizes modern Azerbaijan. Inside, we explore its world-class exhibitions, museum collections, and contemporary art displays.
Next, we take a short metro ride to Nizami Metro Station, often ranked among the worlds most beautiful subway stations. Named after the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi, its interiors resemble an art gallery, with stunning mosaics and grand chandeliers.
Some time for shopping at Nizami Metro station and 28 Mall.
With your heart full of memories and your camera full of stunning shots, its time to transfer to the airport. Azerbaijan has shared its legends, its fire, and its beauty with you - until we meet again!
